GBDL works as described in that it created a set of PNG files that can be viewed in a photo viewer. The download takes a lot longer than downloading a PDF. I did not enter a folder, so the application defaulted to creating the folder on the desktop. I was disappointed to find that only the book preview was captured not the full 600+ pages. About 60 pages including the index was downloaded. When I read the overview again I realised that this is all that it can do. So for me, this tool is too lite, it is not sufficient as I want the whole book. I also hit the "Full Version" button to find out what this offered. I was taken to books43.com website, I provided an email and password, but the Registration process did not work. I did not receive the Activation email after several attempts. So all this must be a work in progress.

it's excellent program but why is books43 not working anymore? nothing finishes, no new downloads start, everything's just ticking away there. also, one of the servers gbd *program* connects to apparently gives timed out msgs on tracert. is the whole project kaput again?
